In a recent announcement, 23 organizations throughout northern Indiana have been selected to receive grants aimed at enhancing public safety initiatives. This funding comes from NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation, reflecting a commitment to improving community safety through education and training.
The Public Safety Education and Training Action Grant program has successfully supported a total of 132 projects dedicated to promoting public safety education, particularly among youth. These initiatives are designed to equip communities with the necessary knowledge and resources to address safety challenges effectively.
The awarded grants will enable the selected organizations to implement various programs that focus on critical safety topics, including emergency preparedness, fire safety, and accident prevention. By investing in these projects, NIPSCO and the NiSource Charitable Foundation aim to foster a safer environment for residents across northern Indiana, ensuring that communities are well-informed and prepared to handle potential risks.
